About Us

Erin Hill donkey stud has been breeding purebred Irish donkeys for 13 years. Our focus is producing donkeys with superb conformation and wonderful temperaments.

Our stud began with a drafty stallion purchased from the renowned Shamrock stud, sired by the legendry Shamrock Shaun, and three beautiful mares. Our herd boasts all four of the Shamrock imports. We are very proud of our progeny, breeding striking donkeys with both the African and Asiatic manes.

Irish donkeys – the breed with the cute furry looks

Purebred Irish donkeys look uniquely different from other breeds of donkeys, they have beautiful long Winter coats, long manes and fringes, their cute furry looks make the breed extremely popular. They exhibit a unique nifty trot which makes them look striking in harness. Irish donkeys have been exported all over the world.

Erin Hill donkeys look refined in type, our fillies have finesse and our colts have presence. Erin Hill donkeys have balanced conformation, are nicely proportioned, have elegant heads, excellent leg alignment and beautiful top lines.
